Dancing with the Stars Live Tour
It's no secret that I love (like, LOVE) Dancing With The Stars. I remember watching the very first season when it came out 10 years ago, and right away I was hooked. Then watching the 20th season last winter, my sister and I would text each other during the show about performances and celebrities we couldn't believe were still there. We kept seeing promos for the Live Tour happening this summer and one night we decided to bite the bullet and buy two tickets!
We decided to drive to the Omaha show since the only Iowa stop was in Davenport, which is a longer drive and had worse seats than what we got in Omaha. The only downside was that it fell on a Wednesday night, so I was craaazy tired at work the next day — thank goodness for coffee!
The show was as amazing as we had hoped. Sometimes when I go to concerts I can get a little bored and find myself waiting for it to be over, but that was not the case with DWTS! Every dance had us wide-eyed and wishing for more. For those of you who follow the show and know some of the dancers, the live tour includes Whitney Carson, Peta Murgatroyd, Keo Motsepe, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber and three other dancers from the "troupe." Melissa Rycroft, who won the all-star season, is the host — the girl is super adorable and funny, but she hardly danced, which was a little disappointing. Everyone was great, though, and so fun to watch.
They did a Q&A session, where a couple of dancers went out into the audience and let fans ask questions, and then the men gave roses out to a few people in the audience. We didn't get a rose, but we were THIS CLOSE to Val, who is the most recent champ. And let me just say, the TV does not do him justice! ;)
I don't think I can even choose a favorite part of the night, because all the dances were SO GOOD. There was a decades mashup starting with Grease, some cha-cha, the Paso and so much more. Amber and I had tons of fun getting dolled up and watching some of our favorite dancers live and close up. We had floor seats toward the back, but we had a really great view. Now we are even more determined to get tickets to see the live show in LA! The glitz! the glammer! the intricately sequined and deeply spray-tanned dancers! Haha, we love it all :)
Have you been to the DWTS live tour or a live show? I'd love to hear about it!
