Helloooo October! I can't believe September is over already, but I am starting this month with a new outlook and great motivation to reach several new and old goals! Before I can concentrate on all that though, I thought I'd better get an Instagram roundup put together! Let's start with this beautiful street art I stumbled upon one day when I was downtown. I never get tired of seeing new murals around Des Moines!
This book was on my reading list for months, then it was in my shopping cart for weeks and now it's currently sitting untouched in my room because I just finished this book and am currently getting through this one. So I can't wait to read Leave Your Mark because it's been quite the journey already! Have you read it? What did you think? Is it as inspiring as it sounds??
Maybe you remember, but September was kind of a big deal around here because miscelenious turned one! This blog has taught me so much, and I can't imagine how bored I'd be without it now. To celebrate, I got all dressed up in this super fun polka dot skirt!
Tailgating — 2015 style. I've only been able to go to one tailgate so far this year (and I'm missing another one this weekend) but I hope to make it to at least one more before the season is over! I love meeting up with all my college friends and celebrating the Cyclones!
My favorite way to spend a girls day is with chips and salsa and watermelon margaritas! This one was so big it came with a little baby class with the overflow, which I definitely didn't mind ;) Wishing I was back at this table right now!
My awesome (and super talented!) roommate made this sign language print for me because she LOVES cats and I'm a dog person. So this was our compromise. (It spells "cats" :)
This blue maxi dress is one of my favorites of all time. Every time I wear it I feel so flirty and fun. I wore this to my high school friend's wedding, which was at sunset by a lake and so beautiful. The dress was perfect for the cooler weather.
And finally, one of my favorite birthday gifts this year is this apothecary dish my mom bought me. I was looking for a more stylish way to store my nail polish collection, and this was the perfect solution. I love the way it looks in my cube storage unit.
That's all for now, but don't forget to follow my feed here. I hope you all have a great day and an even better October! Tell me: What are your goals for the new month?
