I’ve never really had the desire to host my own
Thanksgiving, but now that I’m starting to be a grownup — you know, living in
my own place, setting budgets and baking pies and whatnot — I suddenly have the
urge to play hostess. It’s not in the cards for this year, though, as I’m
usually too busy to even remember to buy groceries once a week so preparing a
whole meal just isn’t going to happen. But hopefully by next year I can start
to think about at least throwing a Friendsgiving, which would be so fun.
So while I won’t be decking the halls of my condo quite yet,
I still wanted to share some of my favorite Thanksgiving-themed table settings
in case any of you are hosting your own celebration this year. Hey, I like to
plan ahead. ;) The first setting from A Pumpkin and A Princess uses lots of gold elements to create a festive, royal-inspired look that is beautiful for the holidays.
I love the colorful florals used in this one by Apartment 34. The vibrant colors are warm and elegant and perfect for the transition from fall to winter.
The simple elegance of this setting from Sunday Suppers is perfect for a more indie get-together. I love the minimal centerpiece, but the hanging leaves are my favorite part.
This one from Glitter Guide is a little Christmas-y, but I think it works well for the whole holiday season. It's festive yet minimal and elegant, which I love.
This table setting from Dream Book Design has DIY elements that give it a cozy and thoughtful look. It would be a very sweet Thanksgiving setting for a family dinner.

P.S. Grandma's apple pie recipe, my Christmas playlist and where do you spend the holidays?
