Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend a Des Moines blogger brunch at the newly opened Hotel Renovo in Urbandale. First, I want to say a huge thanks to Chelsea for planning the event. I haven't had the chance to meet many of the bloggers in my area, so it was great get to know these fabulous ladies. Now, let's talk about how gorgeous this place is! (Get ready for picture overload!)

Hotel Renovo's rooms are decorated beautifully, and there are even some two-story loft-style rooms that would be so fun for groups or families. Every room we walked into I decided I wanted to move in right away — everything down to the bathroom sink was absolutely stunning. (And check out that wine fridge!)

Hotel Renovo opened at the end of July after a multimillion-dollar renovation to the old hotel that was there before. It has a very classy rural-meets-urban theme, and the designers did an amazing job of mixing classic country pieces with modern touches.

There is a full bar just inside the main entrance and two patios outside. Meeting rooms can easily be converted into event halls, and the "cafeteria" space puts all continental breakfasts to shame. Though breakfast/brunch isn't free at this hotel, it's well worth the (affordable) prices. At our brunch, the chef served fruit, bruschetta, bacon, sausage, smoked salmon, cheesy potatoes (so good!) and an omelet bar. And did I mention the mimosas? You can't have brunch without mimosas! The best part is that Hotel Renovo is open for breakfast to the public on weekends, and there are themed public events each Tuesday night

I'm so happy I was able to tour and learn about Hotel Renovo, and I honestly can't wait to go back! I think a little staycation (brunch definitely included!) is in my future ;)
