Adam and I got into Settlers of Catan last year while we were both still in college. His roommates played it and taught us, and then it became a growing thing in our friend group — like to the point where we would have plans to go out and then end up staying in just to play it! Have you ever played before? It's such a fun game!
Adam and I love playing cards and other games together, but this is pretty much the only board game we play. We both tend to get pretty competitive, and Settlers is all about competition so tensions can get pretty high sometimes... But last week it was just the two of us and we weren't taking it too seriously (plus I was losing, so of course it didn't count as a real game ;).
We love going out, but sometimes it's just fun to stay in and have a quiet night in to play board games together, you know? It's casual and relaxing, and I think it's nice to have a night like that where we can just unwind but still have more fun than watching TV.
