Have a very merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Week! Somehow it seems like Christmas has taken forever and sneaked up on me, all at once. I'm so happy to have a couple weeks off work to spend time with my family and enjoy the holidays, but I'm definitely keeping busy.

I (finally) finished up the rest of my Christmas shopping yesterday and then made the drive back to my dad's house with one of my brothers. After visiting grandparents on both sides, I'm so full of yummy treats and rich foods that I won't even be hungry for Christmas dinner. Well, maybe... ;)

With my time off from work (and school!), I'm hoping to read a couple books, get my nails done, finally start listening to the apparently amazing Serial podcast, and of course, work on some wonderful new blog posts for 2015.

Starting this blog has been so fun for me (and hopefully for all of you!), and I have high hopes for its development in the next year. So stay tuned for some great new content, and here's a look back at misc•eleni•ous throughout its first four months.

In September, we saw my favorite football highlight from my favorite player, Antonio Brown. We also talked about family names, wish lists and which shows should be on Netflix — I know we're all excited they listened to my plea for "Friends." ;) Then we went out for mini-golf and made a new pasta dish.

October taught us better responses to a simple question, the need for more strong female leads and the price of the best view in NYC. We saw how amazing "Gone Girl" was as a movie, tried out a new pizza recipe and took a couple trips to the family pumpkin patch and Kansas City.

In November, when fall settled in and the holidays took over our minds, we had holiday dresses, a gift guide for her and a gift guide for him. But we also talked about pet names, a new local restaurant and the key to healthy lips.

And finally, so far December has seen Christmas playlists, my favorite food, a wish list of my own, the choice to have children, an exciting cookie surprise, a talk about music and inspiration.

I'm so excited to see how this blog has come to life so far, and I can't wait to see what it brings in the future. And I hope you all stay tuned to see it with me :) Until then, have a wonderful holiday.
Always, E.
